Thoughts and Feelings on 'Young@Heart'

In our drama and media lessons we watched a documentary called Young @ Heart about a group of old aged pensioners singing as their hobby. I thought that the film was very interesting because you would never expect people at that age to have the will to rehearse nearly everyday and travel to different places to perform despite some of their illnesses and fighting to live another week.At first i thought that it was really weird and silly but when i watched the whole film i realized that singing was the only thing they had left to do because they don't have jobs or anything so this hobby keeps them happy. My favorite character was the man with thick glasses because even though being old he had the wit and charm to make everyone smile. The film showed me that you should always carry on doing what you love even if your old.

Thoughts and Feelings on My Monologue

I came up with the idea of my monologue by thinking of a setting and thinking of what i was sitting on and it was a living room sitting on a sofa.I adopted the character of a father and i got by miss cornish give me a twist witch was that i had a gay son and the father isn't okay with that and doesn't know how to handle it so he kicks his son out of the house.
I liked the way my character is stressed out about the situation and has to come to terms with that.
At home i developed the character by thinking of how/if the father would get to terms with the idea of his son being homosexual.
I found that it was hard to think of what my character was going to say as it seemed repetitive but i got there in the end.
